The trial of a 22-year-old man accused of attempted murder of a businessman has been postponed until May 4th due to a heavy schedule at the Larnaca Permanent Criminal Court. The defendant, facing nine charges including conspiracy to commit murder and illegal possession of firearms, appeared in court under tight security and pleaded not guilty to all charges. His arrest followed information indicating he committed the attempted murder, and a search of his home revealed weapons, ammunition, masks, and mobile phones. Police state that videos on his phone show him surveilling the businessman before and after the attempt. The attempted murder occurred on July 31, 2025, and the businessman was unharmed. The accused remains in custody.
