EU Considers Retaliation Against US Over Trump's Greenland Push

The European Union is seriously considering retaliation against the US in response to threats from Donald Trump to impose tariffs on NATO countries opposing his desire to acquire Greenland. European leaders are discussing ways to pressure Washington, including imposing tariffs worth 93 billion euros or restricting access for US companies to the European market. The EU seeks to maintain unity on the principles of international law and support Denmark and Greenland. The reactivation of a list of tariffs drafted last year is being considered, as well as the use of the Anti-Coercion Instrument (ACI) to limit access for US companies to the single market. The goal is to prevent a rupture in the Western military alliance and find a compromise.
