Attempted Murder in Limassol: Two Brothers in Custody – Father Also in the Picture

Two Lebanese brothers, aged 30 and 20, have been remanded in custody for six days following a warrant, as they are suspected of attempted murder against a 36-year-old Syrian in Limassol on December 20, 2025. The two men were handed over to Cypriot authorities by the British Bases, where they were initially arrested. According to testimonies, the 36-year-old was attacked with a taser and stabbed by the two brothers, with the 20-year-old allegedly being the perpetrator of the stabbing. After the incident, the suspects fled, with the 30-year-old changing shoes at a barbershop. They also allegedly requested the cancellation of their mobile phone to ensure they would not be traced. The father of the two brothers is wanted for aiding and abetting their escape, as he is alleged to have recently purchased a large boat and attempted to sell the 30-year-old's car to raise funds. The 20-year-old has invoked his right to silence, while the 30-year-old is also expected to be questioned.
