Τυγχάνει αξιολόγησης από την ανακριτική ομάδα του Αρχηγείου Αστυνομίας το νέο υλικό που παραλήφθηκε την Τετάρτη για τη φερόμενη υπόθεση ξυλοδαρμού της συζύγου του εν αργία Δημάρχου Πάφου, σύμφωνα με αστυνομικες πηγές.
Σε σχέση με την ίδια υπόθεση και το νέο υλικό που παραλήφθηκε, πηγές από την Νομική Υπηρεσία αναφέρουν εξάλλου πως εάν κρίνει η Αστυνομία ότι υπάρχει κάτι το οποίο χρήζει περαιτέρω ποινικής διερεύνησης τότε ο φάκελος θα μεταβιβαστεί από το Αρχηγείο στην Νομική Υπηρεσία για μελέτη με τα νέα στοιχεία που πιθανό να έχουν προκύψει.
Σημειώνεται πως η ενοχή ή η αθωότητα ενός προσώπου κρίνεται ενώπιον Δικαστηρίου και για όλους ισχύει το τεκμήριο της αθωότητας.
