Stricter Framework for Summer Schools and Childcare Centers

The Parliament unanimously approved two bills aimed at strengthening the framework for the operation of summer schools and childcare centers. The first bill, concerning summer schools, stipulates that the Ministry of Education must conduct at least one annual inspection of private schools operating during the summer months to ensure compliance with existing criteria and protect children. The second bill, regarding childcare centers, strengthens control and inspection mechanisms, more precisely defining the elements to be checked during inspections, such as compliance with operating conditions, the employment of qualified personnel, and the suitability of facilities. Both bills aim to ensure the health, safety, and quality of services provided to children during the summer months, as well as enhance the accountability of the organizations operating these centers.
