Investigation Launched After Channel 4 Documentary Exposes Sexual Exploitation of Women in Ayia Napa

A Channel 4 documentary has brought to light serious allegations of sexual exploitation of women in Ayia Napa. Journalist Tir Dhondy, posing as a hairdresser, secretly filmed squalor, sexual harassment, and threats against young British women working in the area. The documentary reveals appalling working and living conditions, as well as bar owners boasting about incidents of sexual harassment. The Cypriot Police have launched an ex officio investigation to ascertain the truth of the allegations and identify those responsible.
