Housing Prices Rise in the EU, Marginal Increase in Cyprus

According to Eurostat data, housing prices in the European Union increased by 5.5% in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same quarter of 2024, while rents rose by 3.1%. Compared to the second quarter of 2025, the increase in housing prices was 1.6% and in rents 0.9%. In Cyprus, the increase in housing prices was marginal, just 0.1%, while compared to the second quarter of 2025 a decrease of 0.3% was observed. However, compared to the third quarter of 2015, housing prices in Cyprus have increased by 46.86%. Hungary recorded the largest increase in housing prices in the EU (+275%), while Finland was the only country where prices fell (-2%).
