Gas Release at EAC Station Injures Two Workers

A violent release of inert gas used for firefighting occurred at an EAC station in Vasiliko, Larnaca, during maintenance work. The incident resulted in the injury of two employees of a private company who were replacing fire extinguisher cylinders. A 41-year-old employee was injured in the head and was hospitalized as a precaution, while a 42-year-old was slightly injured and discharged. There was no material damage. The Police and the Department of Labor Inspection are investigating the causes of the accident.
