Panic Buying in Cyprus Following Drone Attack

Following the drone attack on the British Akrotiri base, panic buying has been observed in Cyprus, with queues at petrol stations, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Authorities emphasize that Cyprus is not a target, as it is not involved in the hostilities and is not part of the problem. The President of the Republic has called for calm and responsible behaviour, condemning arbitrary price increases and erratic movements. It is recalled that Cyprus had been threatened by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, but had taken shielding measures with the Barak system.
