The Voice of Mothers That Never Silenced

A moving event in Nicosia gave a voice to mothers who have experienced the loss of their children due to war, violence, or injustice. Five women from Cyprus, Greece, Palestine, and Ukraine shared their stories, revealing the unbearable pain and eternal wound left by the death of their children. Harita Mantoles, a symbol of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974, vividly described the tragic events she experienced, losing her husband, father, and other relatives. The other mothers also shared their own painful experiences, highlighting their common grief and the need for justice and restoration of truth. The event underscored the timeless power of maternal love and the determination of these women not to be silenced, to keep the memory of their children alive, and to fight for a better world.
