In Cyprus, the number of deaths due to the flu has reached 13 since the beginning of this year's epidemic season. OKYPY spokesperson Charalambos Harilaou emphasized that deaths occur every year and the priority is to minimize them. The most important measure is vaccination, especially for vulnerable groups such as the elderly. In addition, the need for isolation of patients to limit the spread of the virus was emphasized, even in cases of hospital visits. Although the incidence in children is not as worrying as in previous years, a general decline is observed in adults as well.
