A 66-year-old man, Kyriakos Kyriakou, died in a traffic accident in Limassol on Sunday. The autopsy revealed that his death was caused by a ruptured lung and thoracic aorta, as well as other bodily injuries sustained in the collision. The accident occurred when the 66-year-old, driving towards Skyllourato Vati, attempted to turn right and collided with a motorcyclist traveling in the opposite direction. Both drivers were seriously injured, but the 66-year-old succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The 40-year-old motorcyclist is hospitalized in critical condition. Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident, and it is reported that the 66-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt and the motorcyclist did not have a driver's license and was not wearing a helmet. Due to the frequency of accidents in the area, the possibility of changing traffic regulations is being considered.
