Denmark and Greenland Reject Trump's Interest in Buying Greenland

Denmark and Greenland have categorically rejected any external claim on Greenland, responding to pressure from Donald Trump to purchase the island. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen emphasized that borders should not be changed by force and that peoples cannot be bought. Greenland’s Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen stated that Greenland does not want to become part of the United States. The Foreign Ministers of Denmark and Greenland will meet with US Vice President Jay Dee Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the White House to discuss the issue.
