Colombia: 22 Dead from Torrential Rains and Floods

At least 22 people have died in Colombia over the past twelve days due to torrential rains and floods. Thousands of homes have been flooded, with over 150,000 people affected in the Cordoba region. Residents are trying to salvage their belongings using makeshift means. Authorities report 14 deaths in the Cordoba and Sucre areas, while the National Institute of Meteorology (IDEAM) links the phenomenon to the climate crisis, as rainfall in January was 64% higher than average.
