Kremlin: 'Trump was shocked' by attack on Putin's home

Russian President Vladimir Putin informed Donald Trump about the drone attack on his presidential residence, which Moscow attributes to Ukraine. According to the Kremlin, Trump expressed his "shock" at the incident. The phone call took place after Trump's meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Kremlin foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov stated that Putin emphasized Russia's willingness to continue cooperating with the US to achieve peace, but warned that Russia's negotiating position would be revised. Trump and his advisors briefed Putin on their contacts with Ukraine and on discussions about the need for "substantial steps" from Kyiv towards a settlement. The White House confirmed the communication, calling it "positive". Russia accuses Ukraine of launching an attack with 91 drones on Putin's residence, while Zelensky has requested security guarantees from Trump for Ukraine for the next 50 years.
