Lavrov: Must Continue Working with Iran - What He Said About Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia needs to continue working with Iran, despite pressure from other countries. He also accused the US of undermining the international system with actions such as the attempt to overthrow the leader of Venezuela and threats against Iran. Lavrov noted that Russia is open to peace talks on Ukraine, but discussions about a ceasefire without a comprehensive peace agreement are not serious. He confirmed that Putin is willing to meet with US representatives on Ukraine, provided the proposals are serious. He also commented that Washington appears unreliable with its actions. Finally, he referred to Tehran's warning to countries hosting US bases, in the event of an attack on Iran.
