Slight Rise in the CSE on Thursday

The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) closed with a slight increase on Thursday, with the General Index recording a rise of 0.25% to 287.09 points. The FTSE/CySE 20 index fell marginally by 0.02%, closing at 173.54 points. The total trading volume amounted to €472,365. The Main Market index rose by 0.44%, while the Hotels index showed a significant increase of 2.60%. Conversely, the Alternative Market index recorded losses of 0.43%, and the Investment index remained unchanged. The shares of Bank of Cyprus attracted the most investment interest, with trading value of €367,022 and a price increase of 0.47%, closing at €8.54. They were followed by Demetra Investment, Eurobank Cyprus, Pandora Investments and Leptos Kalypso Hotels. In total, 8 shares moved upwards, 3 downwards and 6 remained unchanged, with the number of transactions reaching 107. The CSE also announced the extension of the suspension of trading of the shares of Mr. Pengu Public Company Ltd for two months, due to non-compliance with its financial obligations. In addition, it was decided to remove the (S) marking from the bonds of HD Insurance Plc, as the problem that led to the initial marking has been corrected.
