The delivery of the new archaeological museum has been delayed and is now expected at the end of 2027, instead of July 2026, due to delays in material procurement and study approvals. The flood study predicts resistance to extreme events, even floods with a 200-year return period. The construction requires specialized materials, some of which are produced in only a few countries. The Parliamentary Control Committee visited the construction site to assess the progress of the work and examine the causes of the delays. The museum will have a total area of 30,000 sq.m. and will include exhibition spaces, conservation laboratories, artifact storage, a restaurant, a library and other facilities. The cost of the project amounts to €143,924,216.
