Investigation Launched into Sexually Explicit Images on X's Grok - Musk Labels UK Government 'Fascist'

The British authority Ofcom is launching an official investigation into X's artificial intelligence tool, Grok, following reports of the creation of sexually explicit images of women and children. The investigation will examine whether X is violating the Online Safety Act. Elon Musk accused the British government of being 'fascist', arguing that it is attempting to restrict freedom of speech. The European Commission also announced the imposition of restrictive measures and requested the preservation of all internal documents related to Grok until 2026. The images circulating on the platform were described as illegal and appalling by the Commission, while US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Sarah Rogers compared the situation to that in Russia.
