Recipients of the Awards and Honorees at the 53rd EAK Aristos Gala Announced

The Cyprus Sports Journalists Association (EAK) is organizing the 53rd Aristos Gala at the Municipal Theatre of Nicosia on January 15, 2026, with television coverage by RIK. The event, under the auspices of the Cyprus Sports Organization (KOA), will honor athletes for their achievements. Admission is free with tickets available through Ticketmaster. OPAP Cyprus is the Grand Sponsor of the EAK, while Unicars and Cytavision are Gold Sponsors. Additionally, ERB CYPRIALIFE, Hercules, and AlphaMega Supermarkets are sponsors of the event, with Altius Boutique Hotel providing hospitality. The Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth and the Deputy Ministry of Culture support the event by providing the Municipal Theatre of Nicosia. Among the honorees is Christos Poulakkos, who will receive the OPAP Ethos and Contribution Award “Andreas Kampanellaris” for his contribution to Cypriot volleyball. The UNICARS Motorsport Award will be presented to Dimitris Parellis and Andreas Papandreou for their success in the 2025 Acropolis Rally. A special mention will also be made to Andrea Papakyriakou (tennis) and Anastasios Maratheftis (hammer throw) as Rising Talents, Christos Miso (archery) as the Top Para-Athlete, Elias Charalambous (football coach) for the OPAP “Stelios Kyriakidis” Award, Antonis Giannoulakis (athletics coach) for his long-term contribution, and Juan Carlos Carcedo (football coach) as the Top Coach.
