Cuban President Responds to Trump: “Ready to Defend the Homeland”

The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, responded to statements made by former US President Donald Trump regarding Venezuela's economic support for Cuba. Trump had warned that Cuba would no longer receive oil or money from Venezuela, suggesting a deal with Washington. Díaz-Canel rejected the warning, stating that Cuba is a free, independent, and sovereign nation and will not accept dictates. He emphasized that Cuba does not threaten other countries but is ready to defend its homeland from US attacks it has faced for 66 years. Cuba, according to Díaz-Canel, relies on its ability to protect its national security.
