Slovenian Elite Referee Obrenovic to Officiate AEK-Panathinaikos Derby – All 17th Matchday Appointments

Slovenian UEFA Elite referee Rade Obrenovic has been appointed to officiate the derby between AEK and Panathinaikos at the OPAP Arena, in the 17th matchday of the league. He will be assisted by his compatriots Jure Praprotnik and Grega Kordez, with Vasilis Fotiadis as the fourth official. Matej Jug and Denis Halilovic, also from Slovenia, will be on VAR duty. Obrenovic, who was promoted to the Elite category in December, has previously refereed four matches in the Stoiximan Super League, including Olympiacos-Panathinaikos 4-2. He also officiated the Panathinaikos-Vikingur 2-0 match. Alongside the derby appointment, the refereeing assignments for the entire 17th matchday have been announced, with Dimitrios Moschou appointed to Panserraikos-Kifisia, Spyridon Zambalas to AEL Novibet – Aris, and Fotios Polychronis to Panaitolikos – Levadeiakos. Notable referees have also been assigned to PAOK – OFH (Meletios Yumatizidis), NPS Volos – Atromitos (Ioannis Papadopoulos), with the AEK – Panathinaikos match entrusted to the Slovenian referee due to its importance.
