Record Arrivals at Paphos Airport Amid Expansion Works

Paphos International Airport is recording record passenger arrivals, despite the simultaneous implementation of extensive expansion works. Phase 2 of the projects has begun and is expected to be completed in 18 months, aiming to increase the airport's capacity to 5 million passengers annually. The projects include the construction of a new section of the parallel taxiway and the expansion of the terminal station. Despite potential delays due to construction work, Hermes Airports, the airport management company, is making efforts to minimize the impact on operations. The United Kingdom remains the main source of tourists for Paphos, while traffic from countries such as Poland, Italy, and Israel is also increasing. Estimates indicate that arrivals at Paphos Airport will reach 4.5 million passengers in 2025.
