Spanish PM Ready to Send Peacekeeping Forces to Palestine and Ukraine

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has stated Spain's readiness to deploy peacekeeping troops to Palestine when the opportunity arises, aiming to stabilize the region and eventually recognize an independent Palestinian state. He also reaffirmed Spain's continued support for Ukraine, highlighting the country's involvement in shaping the new European security architecture. Sánchez emphasized that Spain has previously sent peacekeeping forces to distant lands and would not hesitate to do so in Ukraine, a European nation. He further stressed the need for Spain to actively participate in the reconstruction of Palestine, as the situation there remains dire. The Spanish government had already recognized the State of Palestine in 2024.
