House arrest for 3 Paphos communities, alarm at Paphos Airport ended

Three communities in Paphos, Timi, Acheleia, and Mandria, were placed under house arrest following instructions from Civil Defence. The decision was taken as a precautionary measure, following instructions to evacuate the Akrotiri Municipality and Paphos Airport. The Deputy Mayor of Timi, Giorgos Polykarpou, stated that clear instructions were given to residents to remain in their homes and avoid movement. The decision was made urgently due to the end of classes at the Timi Regional Primary School and the need to help students and parents return home safely. The alarm at Paphos Airport has ended and employees are gradually returning to their workplaces. The Ministry of Interior confirmed the information from the National Guard and the instructions given for the evacuation of these areas, as well as the precautionary instruction to residents of Timi to limit their movements.
