Published January 19, 2026, 08:24

The situation regarding influenza A cases in Cyprus is stabilizing, with data from the Accident and Emergency Departments (AEDs) showing an initial decline in incidents. However, there are still patients with mild symptoms, as well as cases requiring hospitalization in high dependency units or intensive care units. Authorities are evaluating the situation daily and taking necessary measures to provide appropriate care. An increase in influenza A cases was expected during this period, but the current number is not causing concern.
