Published January 12, 2026, 08:19

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is in the final stages of making decisions regarding the potential establishment of a branch in Paphos. A special committee of the Senate is studying the data and is expected to submit its recommendation in early 2026. The idea originated from the Mayor of Paphos, Phaedon Phaedonos, and has progressed through consultations with local authorities. Suitable infrastructure exists in Paphos, such as the Pafos Innovation Institute building, for the immediate operation of the schools. According to Cypriot legislation, the operation of at least three schools is required for the approval of the branch.
