President of Cyprus to Address Greek Parliament

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, will address the Plenary Session of the Hellenic Parliament on May 14th, following an invitation from the President of the Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis. The invitation was accepted, and President Christodoulides expressed his great joy at the honor of addressing the Greek parliament. During a meeting with Mr. Kaklamanis, issues such as the activation of Article 42.7 of the European Union Treaty, competitiveness, energy costs, and the situation in the Middle East were discussed. President Christodoulides emphasized Greece's immediate response to Cyprus and the need for a joint EU initiative to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East, stressing that diplomacy is the only way to solve problems.
