Three Men Sentenced to Prison for Drug Trafficking in Cyprus

Three men, aged 32, 31, and 26, were sentenced to prison terms for drug trafficking by the Limassol and Larnaca Criminal Courts. The 32-year-old and 26-year-old received sentences of 9 and 3.5 years respectively, while the 31-year-old was sentenced to 6 years. The case involving the 32-year-old and 26-year-old concerned the possession of 9 kilograms of cannabis, 52 grams of cocaine, and firecrackers, while the 31-year-old's case involved the seizure of 1 kilogram and 72 grams of cannabis at Larnaca Airport. In the first case, in addition to the two convicted men, three other individuals were arrested, and two more are still wanted. Police conducted searches in homes and at the airport, in cooperation with the Customs Department, to locate and confiscate narcotics.
