President of Cyprus: 'Cronus' Gas Field Development in Final Stage

The President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, announced that the 'Cronus' gas field is in the final stage of development, with the aim of sending the first Cypriot natural gas to Europe via Egypt. The work is expected to be completed by the end of March, when the President will travel to Egypt to participate in the Energy Forum in Cairo. President Christodoulides expressed his desire for the President of the European Commission to also participate in the forum. The development of the 'Cronus' gas field is a significant step for Cyprus, as it will contribute to the economy and strengthen its energy security. ENI has so far invested $1.2 billion in Cyprus. The agreement between Cyprus, Egypt, ENI, and TOTAL paves the way for the completion of the project and the exploitation of Cyprus's natural resources. President Christodoulides emphasized the importance of cooperation and political will to achieve the goals and send the first Cypriot natural gas to Europe.
