Collaborations in Technology, Innovation and Education Following President's Visits to the US

Following the visits of President Christodoulides to the United States in April 2025, significant collaborations have been developed in the areas of technology, innovation and education. These contacts, which took place in New York and San Francisco, are part of the government's broader strategy to promote Cyprus as an investment destination. The most important collaboration concerns the American technology company NVIDIA, which will contribute to the upgrading of Cyprus's national HPC (High Performance Computing) infrastructure through the installation of a supercomputer. This will cover a critical gap in the country's computing capabilities and boost the development of innovation, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence. NVIDIA will also provide expertise, training and support for the application of its technologies in areas of strategic importance to Cyprus, such as clean energy, climate science and biomedical research. In addition, the company Plug and Play will create an Innovation Center in Cyprus, further strengthening the country's innovation ecosystem. The HPC infrastructure is expected to be operational in June 2026 and will be open to the entire innovation ecosystem. These collaborations are tangible results of the government's outward-looking policy and are expected to contribute to the economic development and competitiveness of Cyprus.
