US-Iran Talks Continue: Ali Larijani Travels to Oman

Ali Larijani, head of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, will travel to Oman tomorrow, Tuesday, to meet with senior officials. The purpose of the visit is to discuss the latest developments at the regional and international level, as well as to strengthen bilateral cooperation. The visit comes after indirect talks between US and Iranian diplomats were held in Oman last week, aiming to revive diplomatic efforts to reach an agreement regarding the Iranian nuclear program. Oman is playing a mediating role in the talks, at a time of tension as US President Donald Trump has not ruled out military intervention in Iran. Larijani's meeting with Omani officials is expected to contribute to the further development of talks on the nuclear program. According to an announcement on Larijani's Telegram account, the visit to Oman is part of an effort to find solutions and prevent escalation of tension in the region.
