NASA's SpaceX Crew-12 Mission Set for Launch

NASA is preparing for the launch of the SpaceX Crew-12 mission to the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday, February 11th. The launch will take place from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft will carry four astronauts: Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway from NASA, Sophie Adenot from the European Space Agency (ESA), and Andrey Fedyaev from Roscosmos. This mission marks the 12th crew rotation flight for NASA and the 13th crewed spaceflight to the ISS supported by the Dragon spacecraft since 2020. The mission is part of the agency's Commercial Crew Program, which aims to ensure regular transportation of astronauts to the ISS. The International Space Station serves as a unique orbiting science laboratory where significant research is conducted in various fields such as biology, physics, astronomy, and medicine. The presence of crews from different countries contributes to the promotion of international cooperation in the field of space exploration. The successful completion of the Crew-12 mission will ensure the continued operation of the ISS and allow the continuation of the scientific research conducted there. NASA and its partners expect the mission to contribute to the acquisition of new knowledge and the development of new technologies that will benefit humanity.
