NATO Trusts Turkish Firm with Critical Military Communications Software

NATO has awarded a contract to Turkish company Havelsan for the development of software to manage tactical data, considered crucial for coordinating modern military operations. The software, known as the 'brain of communications,' enables seamless information exchange between different military platforms (air, land, and sea) and helps prevent friendly fire incidents. The award followed successful demonstrations and evaluations by NATO, which had urgently sought a solution as part of its Capability Acquisition Program. Havelsan's selection highlights Turkey's growing role in the field of interoperable military systems and its ability to provide advanced technology in defense. The system is designed to operate in combat conditions and ensure the interconnection of different generations of weapon systems.
