Iranian Protests Subside After Bloody Crackdown

Protests in Iran have largely subsided following a bloody crackdown by authorities, with reports of over 2,677 deaths, according to the HRANA organization. Authorities have made mass arrests, with estimates exceeding 19,000. Tensions eased after President Trump stated that killings appeared to be decreasing, as well as diplomatic efforts by US allies and Russia. However, a strong presence of the military and security forces remains, and Iranian authorities continue to blame foreign powers for inciting the protests. The situation remains fragile, with fears of further escalation.
