Angelos Case: Shocking Details in Indictment – “He Was Given Sedatives to Prevent Reaction” – Trial to Continue in May

The trial for the tragic death of 3-year-old Angelos from Heraklion, Crete, will continue on May 12th. During today's session, shocking details from the indictment were presented, revealing the bruises, abrasions, and hematomas found on the child's body. According to the indictment, the mother and her partner were administering sedatives to the child to prevent him from reacting to the abuse. The defendants denied the charges. The mother's defense requested that the pediatrician who had been following the child before moving to Heraklion be summoned, while the partner's defense requested that the forensic doctor and radiologist who examined the child in the hospital be summoned. The partner's lawyer argued that the defendant never hit the child and that he regrets not reporting the mother for the abuse. The child's biological father also denied the charges and stated that he had not seen the child since December 2023. The case has caused immense shock to public opinion due to the horrific nature of the acts described in the indictment.
