Phytiris Vs Loizidis: Minister's Position on “Decapitation” and Trade Unionist's Harsh Response

The dispute between the Minister of Justice, Kostas Phytiris, and the President of the Police Branch of the ISOTITA trade union, Nikos Loizidis, continues. Mr. Loizidis responded to the Minister's statements, emphasizing that he will continue to be a trade unionist from whatever position he holds and that ISOTITA will continue to defend the rights of police officers. Mr. Loizidis accused the Minister of personal attacks and attempts to undermine him. He stressed that ISOTITA represents the thousands of police officers who voted for it and that it will continue to defend their interests. The Minister of Justice responded that the noise caused by Mr. Loizidis's statements causes annoyance and disruption. However, Mr. Loizidis insisted that ISOTITA will continue to speak openly about the problems faced by police officers.
