Chios: Giant Flag Raising for March 25th - With a Twist

In Chios, March 25th was honored with religious and national events, starting with the divine liturgy at the Evangelistria Church. The raising of the Large Flag, measuring 10x15 meters, at the port of Chios was one of the most important events. However, due to strong winds, the flag had to be replaced with the daily flag as it sustained damage. The first raising of the Large Flag took place in 2014, accompanied by the verses of George Simiriotis.
