Three Arrested for Attempted Murder, Traffic Offenses, and DUI

Police have arrested three individuals for separate offenses. In Larnaca, a person was arrested for attempted murder, causing grievous bodily harm, and illegal stay. In Limassol, a person was arrested for driving without a license, reckless driving, and causing a traffic accident. Finally, in Famagusta, a person was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, with a reading of 103μg instead of 22μg. The arrests were made as part of dynamic and targeted preventative operations by the Police, aimed at preventing criminal activity and protecting citizens. During the night, checks were carried out on premises and on the road network. A total of over 360 vehicle checks were carried out, resulting in over 120 traffic violations being recorded. In addition, 9 cars were impounded as part of the investigation of traffic offenses. These operations are part of a broader, ongoing and enhanced preventative plan by the Police, with increased police presence, targeted checks and immediate action in all provinces.
