Golden Dawn Members Found Guilty on Appeal

The Athens Five-Member Criminal Court of Appeal has convicted all 42 defendants in the Golden Dawn case, upholding the original verdicts. The decision was issued after a lengthy trial that began in June 2022 and was based on the prosecutor's recommendation. The convicted individuals include Nikos Michaloliakos, Ilias Kasidiaris, Ioannis Lagos, and other leading members of the organization. Giorgos Roupakias was convicted for the murder of Pavlos Fyssas, while others were found guilty of complicity in the murder and for the attack on fishermen in Keratsini. Most of the defendants were not present in the courtroom when the verdict was announced.
