Golden Dawn Members Found Guilty on Appeal

The Athens Court of Appeals has upheld the convictions of 42 individuals accused in the Golden Dawn trial, confirming their guilt for leading and participating in a criminal organization. The leadership of the party, including Nikos Michaloliakos, Ilias Kasidiaris, and six other former MPs, were found guilty of directing the organization. Additionally, 11 former MPs and other members, including the murderer of Pavlos Fyssas, Giorgos Roupakias, were convicted of membership. The decision marks the end of a lengthy and controversial four-year legal process. The case involved a series of criminal acts attributed to Golden Dawn, such as murders, assaults, and extortion.
