Turkey Alone in Snubbing COSAC Summit in Cyprus

Turkey was the only candidate country for EU membership that did not send a representative to the COSAC summit held in Nicosia. This move is seen as an attempt to undermine the Republic of Cyprus, however, Turkey is ultimately harming itself, as all other candidate countries sought the assistance of the Cypriot Presidency to advance their applications. It is expected that Turkey will receive similar negative responses to future invitations from Cyprus.
