Alexander Rybak returns to Eurovision and seeks another victory for Norway

Alexander Rybak, the winner of Eurovision in 2009, is returning to the Norwegian national final (Melodi Grand Prix) with his new song “Rise”, vying for another victory for the country. NRK, Norway's public broadcaster, has announced the first eight artists who will participate in this year's event. Rybak, who has already won Eurovision and the Norwegian final, expressed his excitement about his participation and asked his fans to listen to his new album “Fairytales Too” and choose the song they believe he should present at the competition. Along with Rybak, Hedda Mae, Mileo, Emma, Storm, Leonardo Amor, Silke and Jonas Lovv will also participate in the competition. NRK will announce the two remaining participants later. Rybak's victory in 2009 with “Fairytale” was historic for Norway, scoring 387 points and breaking the record at the time. His return to the competition is expected to attract public interest and give Norway a strong contender for Eurovision.
