Alma Announces 15 Legislative Initiatives Post-Election
Alma has announced 15 legislative initiatives it will pursue immediately after the elections, aiming for a “radical reform of public life” and “renewal of the country.” These initiatives focus on strengthening transparency, accountability, and institutional integrity, with an emphasis on adopting international best practices. Proposals include citizen-initiated referendums, strengthening the role of Parliament, accountability for public officials, establishing a strong Anti-Corruption Authority with investigative powers, ending the unchecked power of the Attorney General, establishing a management team within the Audit Office, incompatibility rules for political figures, abolishing the Social Support Agency, taxing excess profits of banks and renewable energy sources, protecting the Social Insurance Fund and primary residences, improving healthcare quality, and upgrading state universities.
