Archbishop of Cyprus Meets with Zelensky, Discusses Occupied Territories

The Archbishop of Cyprus, Georgios, met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, at the Archbishopric. During the meeting, the Archbishop expressed his support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, while Zelensky thanked him for the warm welcome and support. The Archbishop pointed out the similarities between the situations in Cyprus and Ukraine, as both countries are under occupation. Issues related to the churches being destroyed in both countries were also discussed. The Archbishop stated that Zelensky did not appear uninterested in the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, although he did not directly refer to it.
