Asterix in Lusitania Sells 1.65 Million Copies in France

The latest Asterix album, “Asterix in Lusitania,” has broken sales records in France, reaching 1.65 million copies since its release on October 23rd. This is the highest sales figure for an Asterix album in the last 20 years, surpassing the previous album, “The White Iris.” The success is attributed to the quality of work by the authors, Fabcaro and Didier Conrad, as well as the enduring popularity of Asterix. The album has also seen increased sales in other countries, such as Portugal, Germany, and Spain. A new animated Asterix film is expected in 2026, while the next album will be released in 2027.
