Panathinaikos coach Ergin Ataman canceled the team's day off on Monday, following their 94-86 victory over Peristeri, due to an unsatisfactory performance. Ataman expressed his dissatisfaction with the overall image of the team and emphasized the need for harder work in training, focusing on mentality, character, and defense. The Turkish coach congratulated Olympiacos on their impressive 40-point victory over Karditsa, highlighting that a big team should win league games in that manner. He considered Panathinaikos' victory to be like a defeat, due to the poor performance. Ataman also referred to the relationship between the President of the Republic and businessman Giorgos Chrysochos, pointing out that despite previous assurances, a meeting took place at the Presidential Palace. He reiterates the need to increase intensity in training and improve the team's defensive operation.
