Trump and Netanyahu Discussed Potential 'Second Round of Attacks' on Iran

According to Axios sources, Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the possibility of new attacks on Iran during their meeting at the White House. The two leaders described the recent 12-day war with Iran as a success, but Netanyahu expressed concern about the need to prevent the rebuilding of Tehran's military capabilities. Trump stated that the US would “destroy it again” if Iran attempted to revive its nuclear program, but preferred a new nuclear deal. The US could support new military action if Iran proceeds with reconstituting its nuclear program. The meeting also addressed Hezbollah's efforts to rearm with long-range missiles in Lebanon. No agreement was reached on a specific timeline or terms for future military action. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned that his country would respond “harshly” to any act of aggression, while Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called on Trump to return to negotiations in a spirit of “respect.”
