Ben Needham Case: Mother Speaks Out After 35 Years – Believes Son Was Abducted and Sold

Kerry Needham, the mother of Ben Needham, speaks for the first time after 35 years about her son's disappearance on Kos. She believes Ben was abducted by Roma people and sold for adoption. Her theory is based on information she received after the disappearance, where a local advised her to investigate the Roma community, as they were reportedly involved in illegal adoptions. Needham states that Ben's appearance, with blonde hair and blue eyes, would have made him more marketable. Additionally, she claims that two former Kos police officers had information that Ben had been removed from the island immediately after his disappearance, but this was never officially investigated. She has dedicated recent years to researching human trafficking and its connections to the island of Kos. Although she has not found evidence of other child abductions, she believes that child trafficking was widespread in Greece between the 1950s and 1990s. In a twist, a woman contacted Needham, claiming her partner could be Ben and offered to take a DNA test. In 1995, an investigator found a boy resembling Ben in a Roma settlement in Thessaloniki, but there was not enough evidence to confirm his identity.
