Brown University Shooter Confesses in Video Before Suicide – "I am an Animal, Like Trump"

The perpetrator of the double homicide at Brown University and the murder of a professor at MIT committed suicide after recording a confession video. In the video, Claudio Neves Valente shows no remorse and states that Donald Trump called him an “animal,” which he liked. Valente killed two students at Brown on December 13th and two days later murdered Professor Nuno Loureiro at MIT. His motive for the attacks remains unclear, although in the video he states that he neither hates nor loves America. Valente had immigrated to the US 25 years ago to study Physics, but never completed his degree. In the video, he states that he is not interested in the judgment of others or the legacy he will leave behind. Authorities continue to investigate the attacks, but the confession video has not been released to the public. The US Department of Justice announced that the video was found in the perpetrator's storage unit during the investigation.
